Freedom is the tool in my essential toolkit for living life. It enables me to freely express and more than that, to freely think, letting the mind wander around in deep caves of imagination. Freedom is what makes the seemingly impossible things turn possible. I strongly feel that after a certain level of mental maturity, freedom is a choice, for some people it might be a hard choice, but it is definitely a choice. For me, freedom is a personal as well as a social choice. A choice of taking charge, a choice of having the determination and courage to come out of a situation. Most of all freedom is a choice of not binding ourselves with the shackles that are around us.

But, freedom is not easy, it have certain cost attached to it. The cost can be heavy but the return that freedom gives you is tremendous. The cost can be feeling discomfort in initial periods and feeling painful for giving up certain indulgences. But this exercised restraint and the self-discipline is what shapes your personality that can be an aid to you and not an burden. All you need to do is to trust. Trust yourself and your choices, but also keep your eyes open to the changes around you. This happens when you have freedom, the inner freedom. Freedom allows you to be open to changes and have the necessary acceptance toward the things that matters.

Essentially freedom is an integral part of human nature, without freedom you can’t expect growth. And without growth life will become stagnant, and we all know very well that fish stagnant water soon starts dying. So it is our responsibility to make that choices that will grant us freedom, the freedom to express, to learn and most of all to be open.
